What makes our packaging different?
Alterpacks uses agricultural waste and spent grains made of barley and malts that food manufacturers throw-out after their production cycle. These grains are “spent” and would be fed to animals, turned to compost or tossed in a landfill. Alterpacks upcycles these disposed food by-products into food containers that can return to the supply chain, providing a circular solution.
